Traffic manager (production and creative) Perm

Job Description

Our client is a corporate communications agency they are looking to hire an experienced Traffic Manager who is highly organised, commercially minded and brilliant at problem solving, with a strong experience in the production of Annual Reports or other corporate publications.

You will work with the Client Service team to manage internal workstreams across design, production and strategy, facilitating internal collaboration whilst protecting client deadlines. Candidates must be able to remain calm and collected when things get busy. Various teams will require help and attention – you will be juggling Designers, Account Managers/Directors, Artworkers and senior Stakeholders every day to make sure that things run smoothly.

Ideally, you will be a confident Mac user with knowledge of Paprika an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Account Management team with workflow/traffic of the studio
  • Allocate projects to the right team, ensuring consistency of resources and budget
  • Scheduling and resourcing all design studio requests through to delivery
  • Identify issues and being able to provide workable solutions
  • Utilise appropriate planning software for effective workflow management
  • Work alongside the Client Services Director to ensure efficiencies and service levels are met and maintained
  • Implement a departmental freelance tracker to ensure start/end dates are logged accurate and communicated to relevant teams
  • Work with IT and HR to ensure freelancers have the necessary equipment, programs and work space
  • Timely response to ad hoc requests, keeping the teams updated on project progression.
  • Managing creative diaries with the correct input of briefings and client meetings
  • Leading resource meetings confidently and resolving issues/changes that are highlighted
  • Regular catch ups with teams to ensure work is progressing and removing any potential barriers
  • Becoming part of the team you work within, knowing the brands and the people who work on them.

Proofreader 3-6 month contract

Design consultancy are looking for an experienced proofreader to work as part of a team. The team in the main works on corporate and interim reports, most of which are in printed form, however a few have online alternatives.

All applicants must have experience of working on Annual Reports. The company also works on a variety of other projects which include corporate brochures, small brand/identity projects, corporate websites, CR reports, marketing literature and presentation material.

The studio consists of seven typesetters/artworkers and four proofreaders.

The team is looking for a proofreader to support them in delivering projects.

At present the team work on a range of fledgling to blue chip FTSE 100 companies.

Senior Artworker (reporting) contract

Our client is an international business consultancy with a corporate communications division. They produce award winning reporting and brand collateral. The agency is looking to hire an organised and experienced Traffiker. This is a 6-7 month contract.

Reporting to: Head of Production

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting in to the Production Director and working closely with the team and resourcing projects across a range of disciplines which include design, production and digital.

To distribute a detailed schedule: assign work, give a daily update of production status and review the daily work schedule with creative/production department.

To ensure that all creative and production resource is scheduled appropriately and efficiently and internal deadlines are met. Ensure that internal communication remains strong so that the necessary people have the opportunity to control the quality of the agency product. Ensure that workflow occurs at an efficient rate and gets redistributed properly as requirements change and external deadlines shift around. Report any problems affecting job quality, due dates and costs to relevant account person Work with the Head of Production, Creative Director and Account team in selection of any 3rd party resource / freelancers and keep accurate records of freelance staff we work with and call upon from time to time. Co-ordinating weekly team meetings and updating the resource planner on a daily basis. To assist the production team during busy period as an artworker.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Graduate or 4 years experience in a similar role, preferably agency side Able to use Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and assist the production team during busy periods A highly organised problem solver with the ability to work with little supervision. Able to multi-task and to provide support within a diverse team. Able to manage change effectively and calmly in a hectic environment. A quick learner possessing a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Retoucher/Creative Artworker

International business communications agency with a strong team specialising
in brand, reporting and digital communications are looking to hire a
Retoucher/Creative Artworker.

The team consists of senior artworkers who deliver high end, print ready
artwork across a range of projects. These include brand identity projects and
corporate reports (printed and online).

The creative artworker will report to the Production Manager and will work
within the team to deliver award-winning quality results.

The candidate should have an expert knowledge of the print production process
and knowledge of producing images/assets for digital.

Candidates need to be comfortable and competent in retouching as an example,
board photography, colour balancing people shots and other imagery, creating
cut-outs and comping images together

 

Using illustrator candidates need to be skilled in creating graphs and
graphics, creating logo artwork and working with guidelines.

Candidates should also have the skills in creating assets for web site set to
specific pixel widths etc.

Candidates must have a minimum of four year’s experience as a high-end
retoucher/creative artworker within a corporate design agency.

Leading Corporate Communications agency are looking to hire an artworker with excellent knowledge of Quark and Indesign, as well as the ability to produce highly technical graphs from excel.

Candidates should have the ability to set up documents for print and a very good knowledge in PDF workflows. It would be desirable if candidates had knowledge of EDGAR filing (for SEC), HTML and other financial accounts tracking systems.
